STYROSTONE®-track bedding for TT-advanced track

STYROSTONE®-track bedding permits fast and true-to-life modelling of a ballast bed for the TT Advanced track system and the H0-Elite track system.

The advantages of our system are:
  • True-to-original material: stone ballast
  • Fast laying by pressing in the tracks
  • No nails or adhesives required to fix the track
  • Tracks can be removed again later
  • No migration of plasticisers from the sleeper strip and track bedding core, and consequently excellent durability
  • Very good noise-damping effect
  • Simple cutting of the bedding core with a craft knife
The bedding is manufactured without embankments for both curved and straight track sections, to enable several tracks to be laid parallel to each other. The track bedding is supplied with a choice of either dark and light colouring.

The necessary cutting marks for an embankment, however, have already been incorporated into the bedding core, meaning that the embankment strips only need to be trimmed off with a craft knife to produce single-track lines. The areas between the tracks and alongside the ballast bed can be strewn with stone ballast. Separate embankment strips permit repairs to bedding sections which may have been prepared incorrectly. Additional strips inserted under the actual bedding provide for a realistic banking of the track in curves.
The ballast bed is very simple to lay. The tracks are pressed into the track bedding, and STYROPAL contact adhesive is spread thinly on the underside of the bedding. After a drying time of approx. 15 – 20 min., the track bedding is pressed firmly into place. (It is this application pressure which is decisive for the strength of adhesion!) All tools and aids should be cleaned with water immediately after use.
